Casino Floor Planner & Machine Density Tool | GOLDPRIME

Key Takeaways

  • Usable floor area is far less than gross — aisles and service space eat 35–45% of the room.
  • Cabinet footprint varies 3× between a deli unit and a dual-screen upright with topper.
  • Use the count to scope a build, then request a per-market compliance quote.

How This Calculator Works

Floor planning is a packing problem: usable area ÷ cabinet footprint, minus aisle and service deduction. This tool lets a licensed operator estimate machine count from three inputs — gross floor area, usable-ratio (after aisles/service), and average cabinet footprint.

Everything runs in your browser. No inputs are transmitted or stored.

The Model

usable_area = gross_area × usable_ratio
machine_count = floor(usable_area / footprint)

The usable ratio is the lever most first plans miss. A 200 m² room at 60% usable and 0.9 m² cabinets fits ~133 machines — not the 222 a raw division suggests.

A Worked Example

200 m² floor, 60% usable, 0.9 m² average footprint:

Drop to a deli-heavy mix at 0.45 m² and the same room fits ~266 — a different build entirely.

Plan for the Real Ratio

Aisle rules are set by your jurisdiction's fire and gaming code, not by you. Confirm the minimum ratio with your compliance profile, then use the count to scope cabinet type via the cabinet selector.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why deduct aisle and service space?

Regulated markets set minimum aisle widths and emergency egress; plus you need space for cleaning, maintenance and player movement. Real installations typically use 55–65% of gross area for machines.

What footprint should I enter per cabinet?

A deli/bartop unit may be ~0.4 m²; a single-screen upright ~0.7 m²; a dual-screen upright with topper ~1.0–1.2 m². Enter the real footprint of the cabinet mix you plan to deploy.

Does this account for different cabinet types in one room?

The calculator uses a single average footprint you supply. For a mixed floor, run it per zone or use a weighted average — the estimate is directional, not a stamped drawing.

Do you help with floor layout?

GOLDPRIME GAME supplies cabinet specs and can advise layout within certification limits for licensed operators, scoped per market and per order.
